    cobwebs corners

Had an amazing stay with my friends! The area is fantastic for cycling on the National Cycle Route Number 8. We also did a guided underground mine tour which was quite the experience. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to come back!

The cottage had cobwebs in the corners. once we cleaned those out, it was all good!

    Charming Stay with Scenic Views

We had a delightful one-night experience. The Standard Twin Room offered stunning views of the countryside. Although local pubs were fully booked, we enjoyed a lovely drive to find a quaint spot 20 minutes away. Plan ahead for dining, as this location is very popular!

    beautiful cottage
    impressive breakfast
    unwelcoming service
    hot water issues

The stay offered a beautiful cottage with a pleasant atmosphere and a lovely view. Breakfast was impressive with great menu choices, although the service could be more welcoming, and there were issues with the hot water. it’s a charming place to relax.

I had a lovely stay with a friendly staff and an outstanding breakfast that featured a great selection of fruit, making it the perfect start for my exploring days, especially since it was just a short drive to stunning spots like Cyfarthfa Park and the majestic Brecon Mountain Railway.

    delicious breakfast
    friendly staff
    limited dining options
    quiet location
    lack of nearby attractions

A private and peaceful escape with stunning views, the S4 Double Room was tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring delicious bangers, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, going the extra mile with thoughtful touches like fresh milk. After a day of hiking, it was a pleasure to unwind in a lovely bath, though the only downside was limited dining options nearby.

    great place but minor issues

The breakfast exceeded my expectations with a wide variety of choices that ensured satisfaction each morning. The room offered an impressive size and comfort, creating a relaxing atmosphere after our outdoor adventures.

Our experience was slightly marred by the limited dining options nearby since the Butchers Arms was fully booked during our stay.

It was just an ideal choice for a city break in Merthyr Tydfil with good value. The beds were comfortable enough for a night’s sleep after a day out. Plan ahead for your meals as nearby pubs can get busy.
